Niksa Eterovic Artistic Director

Born 1955 in Croatia, director, theatre pedagogue, author and coach. Studied directing for theatre and radio at the Academy for Theatre, Film and Television in Zagreb, simultaneously studied philosophy and comparative literature in Zadar. Since 1972 directed ca. 100 pieces in Croatia, former Yougoslavia, Finnland and Germany. In 1989 founded the international, multi-language "Wind Spiel Theater Berlin"

 

 



 

Julia Soubbotina

Studied design and art in Moscow and Hochschule der Künste, Berlin. Personal and collective exhibitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Warsaw, Malmö. North Carolina, Split, Berlin. Lives and works in Berlin.

 

 


   

Zula Lemes

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, studied dance, acting and singing at home and in Argentina. Developed her personal style through varied engagements for stage, film and television, both as a performer and a teacher. Came to Germany in the late 80s and brought with her some solo programs developed in collaboration with director and musician Marcelo Royo. Also articipant in numerous stage productions, directed by Yoshi Oida and Ismael Ivo, among others. Won distinction "Beispielhafte Interkulturelle Jugendarbeit" (Exemplary Intercultural Youth-Work) from the Berlin Senate for her work as choreographer, director and teacher in numerous youth dance-theatre projects.

 

 
 


   

Marcelo Royo

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studied music and theatre. Participated in numerous film and stage productions in Brazil and Argentina. Living in Germany since 1989. As director and composer created various dance-theatre pieces together with the dancer, actress and choreographer Zula Lemes. Teaches theatre and music courses in Germany and abroad. Won distinction "Beispielhafte Interkulturelle Jugendarbeit" (Exemplary Intercultural Youth-Work) from the Berlin Senate for the piece "Die Neger" (The Blacks) by Jean Genet.

 

 
 


   

Paul Baiersdorf

Born 1969 in Romania, living in Germany since 1983. Theatre work since 1986, first as an extra, prop, technician, director's assistant, now as a dramaturge, director, and sometimes performer. Simultaneously studied philosophy, German literature, American studies, etc., in Düsseldorf and Berlin. Co-founder and director of "Theater Prophanes", Düsseldorf, 1993-1998. Long-term collaboration with Howard Katz Fireheart as dramaturge and co-director. Research projects on Romanians in Berlin (Book "Wege zwischen Rumänien und Berlin", with Ingrid Baltagescu, 2004), on Judith Malina / Living Theatre, etc. Occasional work as author and translator.
