In order to qualify for theakademie it is necessary to participate in our admission workshops. The workshops take place once a month in the rooms of theakademie.
What's the workshop for?
In contrast to other theatre and acting schools, we don't decide the admittance on the basis of an audition. In the workshop, participants are presented with a section of our teaching programme. Tutors evaluate the eligibility of participants during the individual teaching sessions. At the same time, participants are able to actively experience our educational concept in the workshop.
How does the workshop function?
Over two days, participants will work for six hours at a time. The days are divided into three teaching sessions, each two hours at a time. Subjects, in line with the workshop, include theatre acting, theory, improvisation, singing, movement and speaking.
What qualifications are required?
Each tutor judges the participants individually on the basis of their combined work in the classes. Talent, motivation, creativity, fantasy and the ability to get involved with something new are all important for the assessment. Preparation of a text or piece is also required.
